Cali Girl!

Well friends... I figure it's as good a time as any to start blogging again! It has almost been an entire year since I took time to update this thing, since I started my new job :( I have been so busy with life that it has been one of the things that fell to the very end of the "to-do" list, very quickly! As you may know, I am still currently living in California until next August. Though, right now, I am counting down the days until I come home for Christmas! "California life" has been such an amazing journey for me! God has grown me and shown me things about myself that I didn't even know existed! My biggest struggle is missing my family. I love each and every one of them so much, and moving all the way across the country is, by far, the hardest thing I have ever done! I can't wait to get home to see familier faces, and spend time enjoying lots of laughter and love!

What in the world have I been doing here?

I get this question a lot...it changes quite often! 😉 Right now, I am currently working for a church based out of Tahoe City, CA. This is not only a church...we also run a preschool program, and after-school program all throughout the week! I manage this entire program with another co-worker. It has been an adventure to say the least! I also am part of the worship group at the church, which is where my true passion lies! God has blessed me with this amazing opportunity, and my daily goal (even when it's tough) is to simply share His love, which is inside of me, to this community everyday!

As I said, right now, I am counting down the days until Christmas! I can't wait! I haven't seen some of my family and friends in a year, and that is waaaayyyy to long! I am working on some homemade Christmas crafts for presents this year! Maybe I can eventually share some of them without giving away my
surprises!

So excited about jumping back into this hobby and sharing stories of life, faith, and my amazing journey God is leading me through with each and everyone of you! Until then...adiós amigos!

A {Beary} Interesting Week!

What a week it has been in Tahoe! The most exciting thing that has happened this was when I walked up on 3 BEARS!! Here are some pictures!

We had quite a busy week last week with all of our Easter Festivities! We had a service on Wednesday and Friday. Then we had a sunrise sevice, regular service, and ski ministry on Sunday! I have to say that this was one of the most meaningful Easters that I have ever experienced! How lucky we are to have a Savior who loves us so much that He died for us! Our job is to share that love with the work everyday! We are to surrender our whole life to Him and He will never let us go! What a challenge this has been for me In my life, but God is so good! He has never left me and never will! My life is His and no matter how difficult life may be at times, I wouldn't have it any other way! Have your way Lord! Blessings this week friends! Lots of love!

I want to share some news with you today! I have officially accepted an extended job opportunity here in California until next August! I have been offered a managerial position until then and will be completing it with my friend Sam! Sam will be the supervisor of the preschool program and I will be the supervisor of the school-age program! I am thrilled to have this opportunity! We have currently found an apartment to live in, but please keep us in your prayers as we are working lots of small details out!

Tahoe week #6

I have got lots to tell you this week! This weekend has been amazing and I am currently sitting in a hotel in Reno! My friend Chelsi is heading to a journey men expo and we brought her here!! We had Presidents Day off! Whohoo!

First of all, I want to show you some of our Valentine's Day festivities! Here are some pictures!

We had a blast on Valentine's Day! We made crafts and ate lots of chocolate!

I also wanted to share some of my classroom management ideas and decorations with you all!

This is our glitter jar! This jar sits in the  "Chill out zone" which is where students can get their bodies under control and chill out if they have been disruptive!

Other classroom management strategies that I use are the the marble jar( which I have shared with you before) and my latest trick, QUIET SPRAY! The students that I have really enjoy these strategies! So far so good! I love each and every one of the so much!

This past week we had ski/skate week! We had lots of fun and made lots of fun crafts! The theme was the Olympics so we also played a lot of games!

Speaking of skiing, I have been doing my fair share if it! I love it! It is so much fun and such a great workout! Here are ao e ski pictures from Squaw Valley Ski Resort!

Last weekend my friend chelsi went to go interview for a journey men position! She is really pationate about this calling I her life and we took her to Reno and made a day of it! We went shopping and hung out all day!
